Clifton LeRoc is the longest running modern jive class in the South West, running for over 18 years. The classes have always been on a Monday night and are currently held at The Folk House on Park Street in Bristol.
Clifton LeRoc are the organisers of the infamous LeRoc Ball which is held at The Winter Gardens in Weston-super-Mare at the start of December. This ball is the biggest event of the year in the area and has been running since 1989.
John Eastman and Jacquie Dunn are the chief instructors for Clifton LeRoc.
John is an examiner in LeRoc for the UKA. A founding member of The LeRoc French Jive Federation he is the current chairman. He is also the author of the instructional booklet in the īStart to Dance-Modern Jiveī CD, which is published by Sigma press and the author of the instruction manual for the federation.
Jacquie is also a highly qualified teacher and is a full member of the UKA and Federation. She brings a fun approach to the classes.
As well as Clifton LeRoc, John and Jacquie also teach for the ever popular Bristol University LeRoc club.

Leroc dance classes in Cardiff are on a Wednesday night with beginners dance classes from 7:00pm to 8:00pm and Intermediate dance classes from 8:00pm to 9:00pm. These classes are very popular and should be arranged in advance.
In addition to this there are also dance classes for Salsa, Ballroom and Latin American classes at all levels from Beginners through to Bronze, Silver, Gold and National Award levels.

Just Jivinī has been established for over 11 years teaching modern jive classes, running workshops and regular dance events in the East Herts, Enfield, West Essex area. David Gane and Anita Carter run LeRoc Adult Education classes at Havant College, Hampshire.
Students feel that this format is less intimidating than learning at Jive Clubs. They are all at the same level, so lessons neednīt be rushed to hold the interest of more advanced dancers. Quotes from students: "teachers excellent", "lots of fun as well as serious teaching", and "wouldnīt miss it - canīt think when I last laughed so much!".
There are two sorts of classes:
- a 12 week Beginnerīs course, including two group visits to a LeRoc club.
- a 10 week Improverīs course, aimed at people with about two months experience.

LeRoc in Heswall is run by UKA qualified instructors, teaching moves to the highest levels. We teach the correct footwork to beginner and improver moves, including turning and returning correctly (similar to the turns / returns used in other dances). Learning the footwork helps the dancers to dance to time without having to bounce their hands or knees to keep time, this allows style and the dance to take a much smoother latin style for those that wish.
Our lessons are fun but are run professionally by instructors trained to UKA levels. This venue is Ģ5 to enter and that includes two lessons and dancing.

LeRoc Merseyside holds weekly dance classes in Liscard, Wirral, Merseyside. The Venue is run by resident Instructor Johnny.
Johnny is a professionally (UKA) qualified dance instructor in Modern Jive and teaches the footwork to the beginner moves. This builds a solid foundation for future dancing, it also helps with timing, style and stops the dreaded bounce. Dancers often get to a point where they feel they no longer improve, and they are often only happy dancing to limited music (heavy beat same BPM) - learning the moves correctly at beginner level can help stop this.
Our aim is to provide good value for money & bring on dancers from complete beginners through to the highest levels. Our resident instructors all have a passion for dancing and dance most nights of the week for pleasure. All are known & seen regularly throughout the Northwest venues and often across the UK. Our long term goal is to create a friendly venue with a reputation for producing the highest level of dancers. We run regular workshops that help dancers develop and so they can dance to different speeds of music. These include Dirty Dancing (slower music and closer), and the Blues (very slow music), we also run Beginner, Drops & Seducer and Intermediate workshops.
The Grosvenor Ballroom is within easy access from the Liverpool / Wallasey tunnel and Chester. Doors open at 19:45 and the beginners lessons starts at 20:00hrs on a Thursday evening at the Grosvenor Ballroom (CH44 1AQ), with our improvers / Intermediate lesson starting around 21:15hrs. Dancing continues right through till 23:00 hrs, when complimentary tea and biscuits are served.
We play a variety of music to encourage all levels of dancing from modern chart, Latin to Soul music. Through till around 22:30
The Grosvenor Ballroom is a beautiful purpose built ballroom with a sprung dance floor and bar facilities. There is ample parking with CCTV & security.

Strictly Dancing (previously Allstyle Dance) is based in Prestwick in Ayrshire. The dance school is run by Roi Forbes who started teaching Le Roc in 1992.
Roi moved to Scotland from Surrey in 2005, and set up his school in Ayrshire, which now teaches Le Roc, Salsa, Ballroom, Latin, Argentine Tango, West Coast Swing and Rock and Roll.
