MISTdance host top notch partner dance events in the East
Midlands. Although a new comer (Nov 2014) the experienced
team has many relevant years in the dance world.

MISTdance was created because existing dance
organisers in modern jive are creating a broadly similar freestyle
evening, and there is room for something new. Something with a
new music variety, where dancers are challenged by the music yet
can express themselves in it's depth. And an environment where
details matter.

The launch event was held on Sat 22nd Nov 2014. It was a
successful evening with great feedback about the music and a
keen desire for a next event!

MISTdance weekend freestyles attract experienced dancers
from a variety of disciplines including Modern Jive (Ceroc / Le
Roc), Blues, Tango, West Coast Swing, Ballroom & Latin, Salsa,
Kizomba, Bachata and more.

Emphasis is put on creating a total experience for the dancer,
therefore careful attention is paid to the music choices (typically
slower tempo than regular MJ freestyle events), the lighting, hall
layout and audio equipment used.

The goal is to take the dancers, and their dance partners, on an
immersive musical journey during the evening.
