The Thing Modern jive night was founded by Paul Walker over seven years ago.

Based on the south coast, Bournemouth & Poole The Thing currently runs one class night. The night consists of a beginner & Intermediate classes plus freestyle. These events have lots of different ways to help you learn ie: full constructive fun classes, dance moves projected on the wall of the hall, for visual aid, coaches & Beginner DVD Hire plus DVD sales for the modern jive beginners & improver's.

Class Instructor is Paul "thething" Walker. Freestyles run every month. Mission Statement for The THING is "Learn have fun and help others".
